Yoga Acharya Sivan Namboothiri
Yoga Acharya Sivan comes from a traditional priest family in Kerala, South India — a land known as the cradle of Ayurveda and spiritual wisdom. His lineage traces back to the great Indian philosopher Sri Adi Shankara Acharya, the founder of Advaita Vedanta, one of India’s most profound spiritual traditions.
Following his family’s heritage, Yoga Acharya Sivan began his spiritual training at a very young age under the guidance of revered masters. His education embraced the holistic disciplines of Yoga, Tantra, Mantra, Ayurveda, Rituals, and Philosophy — a path that united body, mind, and spirit in the realization of the divine Self.
After 12 years of traditional study and practice, he served as a chief priest and teacher (Acharya) in several temples and ashrams throughout India. His dedication, depth of knowledge, and humble devotion earned him various honorary titles, including:
• Yoga Ratna
• Yoga Shiromani
• Yoga Bhaskara
• Yoga Acharya
Throughout his journey, he was blessed to meet and learn from many great spiritual masters whose wisdom and compassion continue to inspire his life and teaching.
For more than 30 years, Yoga Acharya Sivan has been sharing the authentic essence of Yoga, Meditation, Philosophy, and Ayurveda with students around the world. His teachings emphasize depth, awareness, and transformation — guiding thousands of practitioners toward balance, clarity, and inner peace.
In 1999, he brought his mission to Germany and founded Yoga Vihar in Berlin — a sanctuary for traditional and holistic Yoga practice. Today, Yoga Vihar is a welcoming space where people from all cultures and walks of life come together to experience authentic, traditional Yoga — grounded in wisdom, compassion, and warmth.
If you seek to learn true Yoga from its roots, Yoga Vihar Berlin and Yoga Acharya Sivan offer a genuine path toward good health and inner harmony.
